Me like to do pencil portrait drawing... and try to make it look like a photo... realism drawing. But, some people said: a drawing should look a drawing.... if draw until look like a photo, why dont just take a photo?
Hmm...... my thinking is.... it's a challenge to make the drawing look like a photo. It's really fun~ (^_^)

This is absolutely beautiful. When I took my Art's History Class, we saw a kind of art called "Photorealism", and our teacher, who used to be a photorealistic artist, planted the same question on us... "Is it really art? To do something that's already done? To copy something the exact way that it already exists?" Well, those words came up to mi mind again when I read your comment, but the truth is that this kind of art is really amazing, and as you said, a real challenge. So I really admire people who can do this. I'm so gonna fav this one... :+fav:

Gonna watch a little more of your art, maybe you'll find some other comments from me... :giggle:

Excellent work!

Who cares what they say! It takes more dedication and time to make an awesome drawing than to just take the picture. I respect that more. This portrait is just amazingly beautiful...

and i so wish i could draw like you,

wow.. that's so beautiful!! And I agree, I like better making the drawings look like a photo, because very often the drawings look better than the photos ;)
